It is our hope that as families work together to learn the fifty-two questions and answers found in this catechism, they will increase not only in knowledge, but in the fruit of the Spirit, as they grow to love God with all of their hearts.

Acts 2:41
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Question 33
What is baptism?

Answer:
Baptism is immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; it symbolizes our adoption into Christ, our cleansing from sin, and our commitment to belong to the Lord and to his church.

Kid’s Answer:
Baptism is following Jesus into water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit after a person becomes a Christian.
