Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

We know it can be daunting to step into a new thing, especially when you’re not exactly sure about the details that matter to you. To give you a picture of what Southlake Baptist looks like week to week, here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

WHERE DO YOU MEET?
For our Sunday service, we meet at our campus located at 2501 West Southlake Blvd in Southlake, Texas. Click here for a map

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL SUNDAY SCHEDULE?
We have Bible Studies at 9:15am for all ages. Our worship service starts at 10:30am. We also have KiDS Worship during the 10:30am hour.  It is an epic experience worship learning and fun for kids ages 3 years-5th grade!

WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICES LIKE?
We keep our services simple and follow a basic pattern of meeting together; we preach from the Bible, pray, sing, reflect, and respond. On some weeks, we take communion together. What you’ll encounter when you come to a Sunday gathering is a diverse, biblical community where some people are checking out Christianity for the first time while others have been in church their whole life. We want Southlake Baptist to be a place where you can meet, know and see what it means to follow Jesus.  We invite to come as you are!  Everyone is welcome.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
On Sundays, most of our congregation dress in a casual and comfortable style. You’ll notice some folks who tend to dress up for church and others who don’t. Feel free to wear what’s comfortable for you.

HOW CAN I GET CONNECTED?
On Sunday, we encourage you to visit our Guest Central table in the lobby to get answers to your questions and to find out ways to connect at Southlake Baptist. If you would like to serve the church in a ministry, we have many places to get involved. Another great way to connect with our church community is in a Bible Study group where you find a place to belong: to study together, to pray together, to serve together…to do life together!

WHAT IS YOUR DENOMINATIONAL AFFILIATION?
Southlake Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. As with all Southern Baptist churches, Southlake Baptist understands that its association with the Southern Baptist Convention is entirely voluntary. We are thankful for the resurgence of biblical values in the SBC in the 1980s and are pleased to contribute to its causes, including the efforts of the International Missions Board (IMB) to take the gospel to all corners of the earth.
