SCRIPTURE REFLECTION
What a moment of cruel irony. The soldiers who place a purple robe and a crown of thorns on Jesus, who bow before Him and jokingly pay homage to Him, do not realize that He is indeed the King of the Jews. The true King is mocked. The true King is treated as an imposter.

PRAYER
God, you sent the true King into the world. Instead of receiving the glory, honor, and praise He was due, He was mocked and despised. This Easter, I bow my knee before Jesus, my true King. May He reign in my heart now and forever! May You give me the strength to share the truth of who the true King is with others.
