Dakota joined the staff at Southlake Baptist Church in September of 2018. He is married to Maggie (2016), his high school sweetheart. They were both born and raised in Hiram, Georgia. After chasing a career in football, playing a season at the collegiate level, Dakota finally surrendered to his calling to go into ministry. Dakota and Maggie moved to Fort Worth in 2016 to prepare for ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
By God’s grace, Dakota has been radically changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly after following Christ, he found mature men and women that taught him how to be a devoted follower of Christ. He is passionate about sharing the hope found in Christ that leads men and women to become disciples that make disciples.
He is currently finishing his B.A. in Humanities at Scarborough College, and plans to continue his education at the master’s level. Dakota loves serving in the local church as the Youth Minister at Southlake Baptist Church.
Dakota enjoys continuing to date his wife Maggie, lifting weights, the Atlanta Falcons, podcasting, and a fresh cup of coffee in the morning (which he takes black, no cream or sugar, in case you want to bless him).
