Tailgate Party Recap
On Superbowl Sunday, February 5th, church members and guests attended church wearing their favorite football teams’ jerseys.
After the service, the church hosted its first Super Bowl Tailgate Party. Guys brought their trucks and grills and cooked out by the field, and ladies brought tasty sides and snacks. The kids enjoyed bounce houses, face painting, and a Gamin Ride.
Junior high boys up through adult men enjoyed a flag football game, complete with an official ref and sideline commentators.
Despite the cold weather and a few minor injuries, everyone had a good time. Southlake Baptist is planning an even better time next year for 2013 Super Bowl Sunday.
