PRIME, Our Core Values
We live in a busy society filled with distractions and constant demands on our time. Sometimes, in the hustle
of life, it is easy to overlook the basics. This is true for us as individuals, but also for the church. An organization can easily lose sight of the vision and direction in the day-to-day work. With this in mind, Pastor Clay Reed has been preaching a series of 4 messages on our core values called PRIME.
Week One – PRIME IMPORTANCE – Our church exists to make much of Jesus and the Gospel. The Gospel is not just a ’tipping point" into the Kingdom, it is the way we make all progress in the Kingdom.
Week Two – PRIME – We believe children are a blessing. We believe that all children deserve a chance to live. Our goal at Southlake Baptist is to create a partnership between our church and parents to intentionally train children for the glory of God.
Week Three – PRIME TIME – We believe that the church is the body of Christ, the tangible representation of Jesus on the earth. So in a real way, if we miss connecting to the body of Christ, we miss Christ. Christianity is not a solo sport, it is a team sport.
Week Four – PRIME DIRECTIVE – Before Jesus went back to heaven, He gave the church a specific command, “Go make disciples of every nation.” We believe this is the mission of the church. We are committed as a church to reaching the unreached both in our country and around the world.
This series is powerful and inspiring. It reminds us all why we planted Southlake Baptist over two years ago and what our purpose is as a church. God is moving at Southlake Baptist, and we are grateful. Families are growing, friendships are forming and deepening, and lives are being changed.
