21 Days of Prayer – Day 1

21 Days of Prayer – Day 1

Bookmark and Share

Do you believe the Holy Spirit provides our church sufficient power to transform this community? Do you believe there is greater impact to be made in our community through us? Are you drawing upon the power of the Holy Spirit, walking in the Spirit, and being careful not to quench the Spirit? Believe there is more to be done here and trust that, by the power of the Spirit, we can make a greater impact for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please pray individually and as a family about your contribution to our church’s relocation for the next 21 days.

  • We are asking families to pick one night of the week that they, as a family, will commit to pray. (eg. Thursday nights — Feb 5, 12, 19)
  • We are asking all groups in the church to pray as they gather in the month of February. (eg. Home Group or Bible studies)
  • We will pray the corresponding days prayer when we, as a church, gather for worship and prayer. (Feb 9 & 16)

Day 1
Feb. 2, 2020

PREPARE US WITH A PURE HEART.

READ
Psalm 24:3-5
“Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

REFLECT
The basis of our relationship with God is His grace demonstrated through Jesus Christ. However, the fellowship we can have with God and His blessing toward us is directly related to the purity of our hearts.

PRAY
Father, by Your grace reveal to me the state of my heart. Expose areas of my life that are not pleasing to you. Give me the grace of genuine repentance. Forgive me of worldliness. Create in me a clean heart that I may know You more and be used by You according to Your will.

RESPOND
As you are praying and meditating, what areas of impurity is God bringing to your mind? What changes in life is He prompting you to make? Talk with someone else about them. Make these changes by His grace.
